A mural is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other permanent surface. A distinguishing characteristic of mural painting is that the architectural elements of the given space are harmoniously incorporated into the picture.
As a muralist, I love leaving a piece of myself behind for others to witness possibly long after I'm gone.
I tapped into my nature mindset for this mural completed for Painting with a Twist (Ferndale). Thank you to the owner Michelle Lewis who gave me complete freedom to paint what ever came to mind. She also said not to go too far on the details as this installation is right by the sinks and could get damaged. I had a hard time with keeping it simple.
